Let’s go baby, to the hole in the wall
It’s usually quiet when the night begins. There aren’t a lot of people at the bar; the music is hip-hop from the 90’s. You can feel the icy draft from the door opening and closing in the background combating the anticipation in the room. People are ready. Waiting. Willing. All of this happens before 12 pm.
“It’s always like this in the beginning,” Jennifer Halloway, a junior at Loyola College, screamed over a techno beat. “Give it a chance, I’m sure it’ll get better. It always does. The fun is coming.”
